Prefer our work talking for us, but hey, here you are and so are we
Smart Casual is a production studio founded by Rūta Petronytė and Justinas Pocius.
The name reflects the way we work - precise, hands-on, and professional, but with space for curiosity, lightness, and the occasional confetti.
Our focus is on strong ideas - bold, relevant, and worth making - regardless of genre, format, or geography. We collaborate with both emerging and established creators, aiming to be a reliable partner from development to delivery.
Smart Casual is part of the European Film Academy, The Independent Producers Association of Lithuania, and the Baltic Film & Creative Tech Cluster.
We are also Albert-trained in sustainable production, committed to running climate-conscious, low-impact sets.

Creativity and success thrive on strong, lasting bonds
- Marija is an emerging producer with a focus on creative documentaries.
- Producing is not just a calling for her - she also holds a professional diploma from KIMO (the National Film School of Lithuania).
- During her film school years, Marija's films weren't just collecting awards at festivals, they were collecting actual earnings too! She proved that a great student film could not only win National Film Award but also be successful enough to provide a financial reward for the entire crew's hard work.
- She believes in building strong, long - term bonds. The best example of this is her film "An Exceptional View," continuing her successful collaboration with promising documentary director Milda Augustaitytė, which started during their film school years.
- Marija continues to produce films with the Smart Casual company and is currently working on two projects: one short and another feature - length documentary.
